Year 7 Residential Camp at Porthpean Outdoor Education Centre - Information for Parents/Carers
Get ready for an adventure like no other as Year 7 students from Porthpean Academy gear up for their highly anticipated residential camp at Porthpean Outdoor Education Centre in St Austell. This action-packed week promises to be a memorable experience for all those involved.
Dates and Cohorts:
The adventure is set to kick off the week beginning Monday, 16th October 2023:

The X cohort, comprising students from Tutor groups L, I, S, and K, will embark on their journey from Monday, 16th October, and conclude their camp on Wednesday, 18th October.

The Y cohort, consisting of students from Tutor groups E, A, and R, will follow suit, commencing their camp on Wednesday, 18th October, and concluding it on Friday, 20th October.
Important Parent Presentation:
To ensure that both students and parents are well-prepared for this exciting adventure, a Porthpean Parents presentation will be held in the New Hall on Tuesday, 26th September 2023, at 6:00 PM. This presentation, aims to provide all the essential information needed for the residential camp. It will be an excellent opportunity for parents to have their questions answered and discuss any specific student concerns.
Payment Deadlines:
Please keep in mind the following payment deadlines to secure your child's spot at the camp:
- The first payment is due by the 11th September 2023.
- Full payment must be received by the 10th October 2023.
