Level 3 Sports Leaders at the ECHO Centre

For the majority of the autumn term the Level 3 Sports Leadership students at Liskeard School have been undertaking a placement at the ECHO Centre, a local day centre for adults with physical disabilities.

After a nervous first session all the leadership students have demonstrated a more confident approach in both their planning and teaching, and most importantly have built a fantastic rapport with the participants.

Each session includes a small quiz, a selection of riddles and three adapted sports activities. Competition between the adults is always extremely fierce and yet there are always moments of humour, particularly when the weekly results are given.

The sessions will continue until the Christmas holidays, with the last session being reversed to give the adults an opportunity to test the leadership students.
