Heads Letter to Parents/Carers - 22.06.23

Dear Parents and carers

To help prepare for the start of the next academic year, we wanted to share useful information about how to source uniform. We have partnered with Marks & Spencer to provide an online service which many parents asked for, complementing our existing local providers, Glynn Valley and Gilberts .

To purchase online, where our new school skirt can be purchased – please select the following link:

As a reminder, only the approved Liskeard School Skirt will be acceptable for wear from September 2023 onwards. We greatly appreciate your support in ensuring high standards and the correct uniform is worn. As a reminder, the school uniform for September 2023 is as follows:

Black Blazer
Black Jumper - optional. A plain, black, v-neck jumper can be worn underneath a blazer
Pale Blue Shirt - short or long sleeved with a top button
Red Tie - for Years 7 – 10. (Blue tie for Year 11)
Black Liskeard logo Skirt
Black Trousers – smart, black trousers only; not jeans or leggings
Black Shoes – flat, black, leather-type shoes. Not trainers, canvas shoes or boots
Black Socks

Personal appearance:
Nail varnish - should not be worn in school.
Make up - should be natural in appearance.
Jewellery - not to be worn in school, apart from one pair of plain gold or silver studs worn one in each ear-lobe. Please do not leave piercings until late in the Summer holidays. There is an expectation that earrings MUST be removed for PE lessons from the start of term in September.
Hair - should be a natural colour and not an extreme cut.

If you are experiencing difficulties with financing new uniform, you may be eligible for assistance. Please email to enquire for a uniform voucher.

Students will be clearly and consistently supported in meeting uniform expectations at the start of the school year, and we greatly appreciate your support.

Yours sincerely

Dan Wendon
