Final GCSE Success Evening, Tuesday 25th March 2025 and additional information

Y11 GCSE Success Evening, Tuesday 25th March, 18:00-19:00 hrs, New Hall

We would like to invite you and your child to the final GCSE Success Evening on Tuesday 25th March at 18:00, before the GCSEs start on 5th May.

We will be sharing some helpful information and advice on how you can help your child at home in the build-up to GCSE exams in the summer of 2025. We will also have Heads of Faculty from English, Maths and Science to offer specific advice for the Core Subjects and there will be an opportunity afterwards to ask questions, if you have any. We’re really looking forward to seeing you and your child on Tuesday, 25th March.

100 Hours Revision Challenge and Period 5s

Now that the final Core Mocks are completed, it is all systems go to ensure Y11 are prepared and feeling as confident as possible for the exams in the Summer. This week we relaunched the final 100 Hour Revision Challenge, it's really important that students take this seriously to ensure they're ready to tackle anything they could face in the exams. In addition to a robust revision plan, students will also benefit from attending Period 5 lessons. Here's a reminder for you about Period 5 lessons:

  • Monday (English), Tuesday (Science), Wednesday (Maths), from 15:15-16:15
  • They are taught lessons by their usual teacher for these subjects
  • Transport is available at 16:15

Contingency Day

Please be aware that there are two contingency dates that students need to be available for:

  • Tuesday 11th June - afternoon
  • Tuesday 25th June - all day

These days are designated for use in the event of national or significant local disruption to examinations and students must be available to sit exams on these dates if required.

Thank you for your ongoing support. I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday 25th March.
