Erupting Curiosity: Liskeard Geo Club Brings Geography to Life

Liskeard’s Geo Club students have been hard at work researching, designing, and building their very own paper-mâché volcanoes. After researching plate tectonics and the various types of volcanoes, our students got hands-on using recycled materials to design and build their own volcanoes using paper- mâché and acrylic paint. With help from Liskeard’s fantastic art department and science technician team, the students brought their creations to life using household classics – vinegar, washing-up liquid, and baking powder – to explode their volcanoes!

Join Geo Club to see geography come to life through hands-on projects, from tracing geological timelines on rolls of toilet paper and erupting paper-mâché volcanoes to building coastal landforms out of cake.
