Blue Tie Ceremony Marks an Exciting New Chapter for Year 11

On Friday, our Year 10 students celebrated an important milestone as they took part in our inaugural Blue Tie Ceremony, officially marking their transition into Year 11.

The ceremony provided a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the journey our students have taken so far and to look ahead to the exciting challenges and opportunities that await them in their final year of secondary school.

Each tutor shared heartfelt reflections about their tutor group, celebrating individual and collective achievements before presenting every student with their new blue tie and a congratulatory handshake. It was a proud and emotional occasion, with students, tutors and staff taking time to recognise how far the year group has come.

One of the most memorable moments of the ceremony came when the entire year group changed from their red ties to their new blue ties almost simultaneously. They looked incredibly smart and embraced the occasion with great pride.

The following day, students arrived for their first PPE examinations displaying confidence, maturity and determination. The Blue Tie Ceremony served as the perfect way to begin this important stage of their educational journey.

We are immensely proud of our new Year 11 students and look forward to supporting them throughout their PPEs and the year ahead. We have every confidence that they will rise to the challenges before them and make the most of every opportunity.
