Headteacher letter to parents/carers - 8.10.23
Dear parents and families
I am delighted to have experienced so much positivity, politeness and excellent community spirit from our wonderful students this term – thank you for all of your support. As we enter the final week of term, please see updates for the week ahead:
End of term Christmas Events
- Our students will be taking part in the Liskeard Lights Up Lantern Parade on 9th December. If you would like to join, please meet in the Cattle Market Car Park at 17:00 ready for 17:30 departure.
- Our wonderful PTFA Christmas Concert showcasing our students’ musical talent will be held at 18:30 on Tuesday 12th December. Tickets are £3.00 and available from Reception.
- Christmas Lunch will be served in school on Wednesday 13th December. No pre-ordering is required!
- The last day of term is the 15th December. This will be a festive-themed non-school uniform day. Please do feel free to wear Christmas jumpers to celebrate the end of a busy term!
- Please book tickets for Grease, our Christmas school show, on 14th and 15th December at 18:00. Tickets are available here or at Reception.
Last Day of Term
A reminder that December 15th will be a half day. Students should attend school at normal time and attend tutor time and lesson one and two as normal. Food will be served at morning break. There will be a farewell tutor time at 12:05 and students will be dismissed at 12:30. Transport companies and taxis have been informed of this change; however, if your child uses public transport to get home, please support them to check arrangements and contact the school if you have any questions.
Parent Information Evening
Thank you to everyone who attended our Parent Information Evening on 5th December. I will be hosting regular evenings throughout the year which give an opportunity to meet the senior team, hear updates about the school development plan, ask questions and offer feedback. We also offer opportunities to join our Parent Steering Group. Do look out for future events if you are interested in getting involved.
