Get ready for an extraordinary week of exploration and self-discovery as Liskeard School proudly presents the highly anticipated Challenge Week, taking place from Monday, July 15th, 2024, to Friday, July 19th, 2024. Following the resounding success of last year's event, we are thrilled to bring back this unique opportunity for students in Years 7–9.
Challenge Week is more than just a week away from regular classes; it's a journey that opens doors to new experiences, hidden talents, and self-realization. Designed to enrich the curriculum, this week offers activities that go beyond the ordinary, allowing students to delve into a realm of possibilities that cannot be explored on a typical school day.
This year's Challenge Week coincides with Year 10 work experience, ensuring a dynamic and engaging week for students across different year groups. Please note that Year 10 students will not be participating in Challenge Week due to their work experience commitments.
We are excited to offer a diverse range of activities, each varying in cost, with some being available for a minimal contribution or even free. This inclusivity ensures that all students have the opportunity to participate in activities that align with their interests and passions. The cost of each activity, along with the required deposit, is detailed on each page of the booklet.
Parents/carers, it's important to note that deposits can only be paid via Parentpay and are non-refundable. We encourage you and your child to carefully consider the choices available, ensuring a well-thought-out decision. The booklet provides detailed information about each activity, allowing for an informed selection.
In acknowledgement of the rising costs of educational trips, we want to assure you that we are committed to keeping expenses as low as possible. In the event that opportunities for refunds arise, we will strive to return excess funds at the end of the academic year.
