Letter to Parents - 071022

7th October 2022

Dear Parents and Carers

It has been a great pleasure to meet so many parents over the last few weeks, especially at our Open Evening event. I have also had the pleasure of taking new parents around the school this week and showing them the excellent learning and support we offer, as well as the high standards and expectations we have of students. It has been so rewarding to see how many of our students are polite, welcoming, look really smart and behave exceptionally well. I know that every student has the capacity to do amazing things, and that everyone can build good habits over time that will help them to improve, develop and be exceptionally successful.

Our lunch-time and after school clubs for students are getting into full swing. From soul band to basketball, there are a wide range of activities for everyone to get involved in. Please encourage your child to talk to their teachers and tutors about clubs they might want to join. We are also in the process of planning lots of trips and visits for the year ahead, so look out for those opportunities as they arise.

We will be delighted to welcome all of our Year 11 students and parents to our up-coming GCSE Success Evening on 20th October. The purpose of this meeting is to start explaining the practical steps students and families can take to ensure that the best preparation is made for GCSEs in the summer term.

Thank you for the ongoing support of students, parents, carers and families. I welcome constructive feedback as we continue on our journey. We have two weeks of learning until the half-term holiday (24th-28th October)and I encourage you all to keep going as we support each other to make the very best of every opportunity until we take a well-deserved rest.

Yours faithfully
